- Health & LifestyleBy Nadia Benjamin, Trinity College Student If you missed this year’s Halloween party, you should come back next year with your fabulous and extraordinary costumes. Or maybe these outfits can be your inspirations to shine next year. 1. Food Have you ever imagined what it's like to be food instead of being a typical character at a Halloween party? If you haven’t, maybe you can try it next year as these celebrities did. Hmm, that Cheetos, burger, and fries look delicious. Or if you wanna make it a little healthier you can try becoming fruits or this fancy broccoli man. 2. Covid-19 Survival Kit This pandemic has affected the whole world and you should always be aware of it. Maybe these costumes can help you spread awareness within the society. Hey, go vaccinated! 3. Squid Game Who doesn’t know Squid Game? One of the best Korean series this year. This series turned out to be one of the inspirations for many Halloween outfits. The characters in the series have striking and unique uniforms which are the hallmarks of these costumes. You can choose to become the player, staff, or even that one viral yellow dress doll statue. 4. Unusual Things Think of being something you wouldn’t be. Maybe it can give you an anti-mainstream and unique inspiration. How about these couple of man dressing up like a Sia’s music video? Or being a receipt? Or even a rollercoaster. 5. Best Friend Pairing with your best friend at a Halloween party is definitely a great idea to dress up. Pick your mate and ask them to wear these costumes! It says hang out with a style. 6. Air Costume There are a bunch of air costumes you can pick. But it looks like you have to deal with your body balance because wearing a costume filled with air is absolutely not an easy thing. 7. [EXTRA] Outfit Or if you have extra time or energy to dress up at Halloween, you should make your outfit all out as this guy did. Look at his effort to make that costume.Like
- Health & LifestyleIn hopes of helping the newer students in Trinity College, some members of The Trinity Connection have written some words of encouragement or tips to help you have a better experience! Put together by Enya Loo, Director of Health and Lifestyle Sometimes a new environment or community can seem especially daunting but continue to take risks and step outside of your comfort zone. Try to join clubs or societies to find people that align with your interests, and this will really help you to have fun and look forward to school! All the best in Trinity College and even amidst such chaos and uncertainty, have an open mind and be willing to accept change! Enya Loo Yingshan, February Main Student 2021 Creating a clear study program at least two weeks before the exams, in my experience, can be quite beneficial. So that you may catch up on whatever you might have missed throughout the semester. Also do seek help from your tutors when you need especially when it comes to writing essays because you will be able to  get a better understanding of how to organize your work better. Finally, being able to make friends in your classes will not only enhance your overall Trinity online experience, but also could be extremely helpful for you both as you guys can discuss what is going on in class and remind one another of any important due dates. Planet Sitthixay , February Main Student 2021 I'm extremely grateful for my time at Trinity, and since it is coming to an end, here is some advice I would give newcomers - ask your teachers questions, get involved in clubs and start assignments earlier. The earlier you start them, the more you'll understand from the topic and the easier it becomes. Your teachers are always there to help, and something I've learnt is that they love teaching and will not hesitate to answer any question, even if it's 'stupid'. Finally, getting involved in clubs, especially online, will help you make more friends and your time here even more enjoyable. Nowadays, we need to find new ways to connect with others, and joining clubs is the best way to do this. Good luck! Kien-Ling Liem, February Main Student 2021 Be crazy, be confident don't be shy. Find the aesthetic in what you like and make your fantasy and dreams come true. Darren La , February Main Student 2021 The most important advice I can give anyone is don’t give up! It sounds simple enough, but as the weeks go by it gets harder and harder to attend all the lectures and tutorials and keep taking notes. Just try to take it one day at a time, and don’t put stuff off for another day. If you keep putting work in constantly, you’ll have less to do during assignments and exams. Most importantly, don’t care too much about what other people are doing, just do your personal best. That’s all that matters. Kriti Chand Rajbar, February Main Student 2021 In art and photography you shouldn’t be afraid to express yourself with your media and projects alike. The only advice I can offer is to stay true to yourself and always have an open mind to discovering new things and trying them out! Who knows it might become a for-life passion or just something you really enjoy doing. Valeria Saputra, February Main Student 2021 Don’t be afraid of talking! Please believe me, all Trinity teachers and students are very glad to hear anything from you, no matter your spoken English is good or not. Expressing is quite helpful that not only improves your studying but also lets you get used to Trinity College quickly. Carol Song, January Comprehensive Student 2021 Good luck to all the new students to come! We wish you the best.Like
