Studying in groups is not for everyone.
When there is no established time or plan, it is easy to get off track, especially if you are easily distracted.
In fact, there are a variety of apps and websites accessible for students who are trying to concentrate alone or even while socializing with friends.
Here are a few that I found to be quite simple to use:
1.Hours - By fiveable

Hours.zone is a free and easy to use platform for students. This website allows you to create your own productivity session and invite your friends to join you. As a result, it's a fantastic method to set your own goals while also seeing what your friend is working on and organizing your study + break time together.
2. I Miss My Café

If you enjoy relaxing or studying at a café, I Miss My Cafe is the website for you! Because of the pandemic, many are unable to visit their favourite café. I MissMyCafe, on the other hand, contains a Spotify playlist for coffee shops and customizable sound effects such as white noise and a loud barista calling out people's orders. This can give the impression that you are genuinely there. While this may be a ruse, but I believe it is preferable to make the best of what we have!
3. Nesto Pomodoro Timer

You've probably heard of the Pomodoro Technique. It's a simple method to strike a balance between quantity and quality; all you have to do is concentrate for 25 minutes at a time. Nesto Pomodoro Timer is a Pomodoro timer for desktop and mobile devices that incorporates music, tasks, and notifications. This software allows you to concentrate completely on your tasks, whether they are producing, studying, or working. Even in a busy atmosphere, uninterrupted music allows you to enter the "state of flow."
4. Forest

Forest App is growing in its popularity of being a very useful productivity app. This helps people to better focus and manage their time in a very interesting and unique way. So how does this work? Well, by planting a seed in Forest, you’ll watch it gradually grow into a tree. However, if you leave this application to check your phone or answer text messages, the plant will immediately die, and you will have to start planting it over again. Moreover, as you grow more trees, you will collect more coins. Thus, this can be like an addictive game but in a good way where your focus and productivity will make you ‘successful.’
5. Zoom

Finally, Zoom. Many of you may already be aware of this. Zoom is a well-known platform that may be used for a variety of purposes. However, you can only go up to 40 mins with over 3 people in a meeting without premium access; therefore, you are not willing to pay for full access. But, zoom is still good to meet with just one other individual for an endless number of hours. So grab your study buddy!
