As the term break comes to an end, I do hope that you’ve spent it well, by using the time to let your mind relax and savour the moment! As we get back into the study grind, it is important to note that school can be overwhelming but here are some ways to continue having fun whilst learning. 1. Take photos of pretty little things in daily life Being grateful about the simplest things in daily life Just a fast snapshot of our surroundings can do wonders for our mental health. Personally, I take photos of flowers, sunsets and anything else that I deem aesthetic. I usually take them using my phone, and it’s such a fun way to journal and remember these nice moments without the troubles of writing or jotting it down on a notepad. When we revisit our photo gallery, we can be reminded of the little things that put a smile on our face.

2. Be in touch with art Art lives all around us, we just have to open up our minds to see it. Whether it be in the form of movies, music, paintings or song - they all come from deeper meanings and are just simply aesthetic! Cinematography is just on another level when it features beautiful scenery and some of my favourites are:

Midnight in Paris (2011) Roger Arpajou/Sony Pictures Classics - Time travel
Also, a playlist of chill music which is a compilation of all genres: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1ZMedA2S5IElcMupgBoiXd?si=2b28dacc7a8942f5
3. Treating yourself Crucial motivators for creation and productivity Taking care of oneself is as important as self-discipline. During busy and stressful times, rewarding ourselves like having good food, a warm bubble bath or doing something you love can help us become more fulfilled and encouraged to continue pushing on!

4. Bonding over online games With the arrival of the pandemic, face to face sessions have been severely cut from daily life. Though it can be hard to build connections with others, making an effort is important. By playing some easy multiplayer games, it can create bonds and link you up with people. Business Tour (simpler knockoff of Monopoly) or Overcooked on Steam are great games. Downloading some card game apps online can work well too!
5. Note down at least one thing that you’re grateful for everyday Noting down one thing that you’re grateful for everyday like a small accomplishment or good food can help you maintain a positive mindset, as well as raise productivity and motivation! Hopefully these tips were useful for you and here’s wishing you a fantastic term ahead!
