As most if not all of you readers have heard times and times before, taking care of yourself mentally and physically is highly crucial. But how? What is practical? Selfcare takes too much time?

Self-care is equally as important to anyone right now; we are at the start of semester 2 — both teachers and students are stressed as we are closer to our goal of graduating college and entering university. Even the thought of this itself is stressful enough, let alone the work it takes to get there. Hence, due dates seem just like one right after another.
To help inspire YOU into self-care, here are some ideas:
1. 5 minutes self-care ideas for those who always go, “but I don’t have time!”
Morning-evening:
Spend this time organising your work/study table

Text a friend
Make yourself a warm drink
Watch a funny seal video
Sit in silence and breathe
Wash your face
Grab some fruit
Order a brownie from your favourite shop
Night:
Make chamomile tea to drink before sleep
Jade rolling your face
Ice your face
Prep for the following day
Make your room temperature colder
Lighting scented candle and adjust the light
2. 30 minutes self-care ideas for, “I have time but-”
Morning- evening:

Skipping rope
Go for a walk
Ride a bike
Sit outside and meditate
Make a healthy meal
Call a friend
Reorganising closet
Make a week timetable that is not school or work-related
Night:
Clear away clutters in your bedroom
Apply face mask
Use coconut oil to mask your hair
Give yourself a nice manicure
Lay in bed, turn on your favourite song and close your eyes
3. 1 hour self-care ideas for someone who has time yet still, “why self care?”
Morning-evening:
Full circuit workout

Take a dance class
Go hiking
Cook full course meal
Bake a cake
Make a fort
Night:
Take a bubble bath
Chill in a hot bath
Try a whole skin-care routine
Put on your favourite PJ and watch some movies/shows
