Today I had dinner with an old friend. We have known each other for 16 years, but we haven't seen each other for a few months. He has gained a lot of weight and is gaunt. I want to know why. He said he's been too busy. He had to prepare for the wedding. He had to earn money to buy the house, decorate the home, hold the wedding, and manage the company. I thought he was just 25. It used to be that 22 years old people had to deal with so much after graduation. I don't think he is happy anymore. Maybe he has to learn to face life by himself when he grows up. I mused. Am I going to be like this? Am I looking forward to a life in which I can see the end at a glance?
On my way home, I thought for a long time and gave myself an answer. He did not waste his youth. Everyone is exhausted; we do not need to let others understand our tiredness. But all the hard work my friend did result in a beautiful family, a house he loved, and a big wedding. I think it's worth it. If you don't work hard at this time, when will you wait? The best time is always right now! At that moment, the lamp was lighted; the night lightened, so was my heart. I'm sure the next time we see each other, and he'll tell me how happy he is.
