Recently, there has been a flood in Zhengzhou, China (Henan province). Jay has written a few words of encouragement!
These days, the sea has come to see us; the people of Zhengzhou are helpless. As much rain fell in just three days as in the past year, once in a thousand years. On the street, the cars flooded. Some people are trapped in the subway. Many of them call for help, call their family, and even explained their last words; the water has risen to the chest, the air in the compartment is diminishing. Five minutes after the rescue call, someone in the car shouted: I see the light! The light is hope, and this is the light of life—these words from one of the trapped men. You never know when accidents can happen. But the state acts quickly and with solidarity with the people, and everything will be in the past. The maintenance hole cover on the road was washed away, a pedestrian on the road aids the safety of others, people shout slogans, arm in arm to cross the road and form a unity and dedication, this is us - I am proud, I am here, and everyone is together to face their fears. We've met a lot of disasters together in 2021, and we can do it this time. Seven provinces joined forces to help Henan. One thousand eight hundred firefighters were sent to Zhengzhou overnight, and more than 3,200 people from the armed police and military went to the front line, a national force. And the school also sent out greetings to us, including my classmates, which was very touching. We are like little lights, but together we can brighten the night. We can certainly overcome the immediate disaster.
