Since July 17, 2021, persistent heavy precipitation weather has occurred in Henan, with heavy rain and rainstorm in most parts of the province. Heavy precipitation is mainly concentrated in the western, northern, and central regions, and heavy rain has occurred in Zhengzhou, Jiaozuo, Xinxiang, and other 10 cities.
According to the Henan Provincial Water Resources Department, from 8o 'clock on July 18 to 12o'clock on July 20, 2021, the rainfall in Henan province exceeded 400 mm in 43 stations, more than 300 mm in 154 stations, more than 200 mm in 467 stations.
